Silverlight 2 installation

These instructions are followed by Silverlight Get Started

1. Development Tool
   Two choices of that:
   
   • Upgrade Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 to Service Pack 1 (licenced)
   • Install Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008 Express with SP1 (free)


2. Install Siverlight 2
   Install Silverlight Tools for Visual Studio 2008 SP1
   This add-on will install Silverlight project templates, developer runtime, and SDK.
   
   The following steps are now necessary installations. However, if you want to learn more about these features, you can try them. Read the instructions before you use them.
   


3. Install Microsoft Expression Blend
   Install Microsoft Expression Blend 2(Trial version) and its Service Pack 1
   
   Expression Blend 2 allows designers to create Silverlight 2 applications UI graphically. This is a fully featured 30 day free trial for Expression Blend 2
   


4. Install Deep Zoom Composer
   This tool allows you to prepare your images for use with the Deep Zoom feature in Silverlight 2.
   


5. Download Silverlight Toolkit
   This Toolkit includes full source code, samples and tests provided by Microsoft. Visit Silverlight Toolkit for more information.
   
   The installation folder by default is in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Silverlight
